I've been trying to figure this out for a while:confused:, can someone plz reply to this (a staff member would be good).

A question asked by many...and heres the answer

1, First of all go to your User Control Panel and click Edit Profile
or just click here to edit it

2, Scroll down to your Signature box and insert this HTML into it
*[img]*http://www.yourpictureslink.co.uk.jpg*[/img]*

(remove the stars from the HTML above)

3, To make sure your image shows up, you must upload it to the internet and place the link in the HTML above. If not uploaded to the internet, nothing will show up.

4, Click Submit Modifications at the bottom of this page and voila. Theres your own signature.

Note:
There are restrictions to how big your signature should be etc. These can be found in the forum rules.

5 - Avatars & Signatures
If you have more than 10 posts, you may specify your own custom avatar. Avatar limits are 80 x 80 pixels, and must be no larger than 10kb. Signature limits are 400 x 100 pixels. In addition, sigs are not allowed to have more than 5 lines of text, or midi music

That's great, I have one question, how do you upload the image onto the internet? (I know kyros wanted to know but he hasn't asked so I will)

You need an image host. There are plenty of free ones about, but you need one that allows offsite linking. Or you can ask someone who has a picture in their sig, and see if they will host it for you. I'm afraid we (ragol) can't. As most of the staff member sigs are on our server .

Just make sure you dont upload it to a Geocities server, as these dont promote off-site linking. I've known alot of people who have done this and later realise that it does not work.

If anyone wants a picture uploaded to the internet, ill gladly put it up and host it for you, and then provide you with the link/code you need to put into your signature, providing the picture isnt that big (kb wise!).

oh and how do you make your Sig piccy clickable coz i want to make it a link to my site like lees

To make it clickable

Delete the spaces after the square brackets and insert the links to your web page and image.
