It's because MAGs use photon energies. Just like say, the Yamato's special attack is a Bata-esque sword strike that can freeze. Androids can use that, even though it's like a technique. The difference is it's being created not by mental power, but by converting photons in the air.
Right on, but if they made mags so they could use photon energy then why not just make androids the same way. I realize this makes no difference what so ever but something to contemplate.
Humanoids probably already have too much complex equipment inside of them to accomodate for a photon combinated system.
true, not to mention if androids were able to use techniques it would feed off of their PB and i'd rather let it build up then waste 10 or 20 using zonde
Exactly. It'd be a waste of time, except for when your PB sucks.
Although it would be worth it to sack 100 PB to cast Grantz every now and again.
I'd lean more towards 20PB or so for Grants. 100 for an attack that hits one enemy is pretty crap.

True, 20 PB does sound more aplicable, it'd be cool to if the made like a photon blast disk like techniques, you could have a photon blast that hit one enemy multiple times and had a drop rate like most rare special weapons
