How would one go about using it to get online?

I've heard of fan servers for this game now that it's officially defunct online, and am looking to play online purely for a bit of nostalgia.

Sorry if this falls under "private server" discussion, but i figured as the game is no longer a source of income for sega, it'd be ok.

Feel free to delete this if it infringes on the rules. ^_^
pso ver.2 or pso, are still online for a good time, this only pllies to sega servers, and there are others, but i can't say wich ones (sorry)
other games like star lancer or maximum pool are still online, possibly even forever.
i have a dreamcast and i am happy with that.
I thought they cancelled the Dreamcast, Xbox, and Gamecube servers?!
SEGA Dreamcast, and Nintendo Gamecube PSO servers end on April 1st 2007 at Midnight, with the Nintendo Gamecube's Hunters Licenses going free as of the 1st of March 2007! :'(

Xbox PSO will remain running.
Oooh, interesting.

So if i got PSO for xbox, and ran it on my 360, would i have to pay for a hunters licence?
Yes. Tongue You would... and with how dead the X-Box servers are.... it wouldn't be worth it.

It'd probably be easier just to get one of the two PC based versions of PSO... =>.>= But I'm not saying anything else. (I only have the PC versions to use PSO as a chat room. Tongue)
Phantasy Star Online isn't Xbox360 compatable unfortunately Tongue
my pc is unfortunately poo =[

can't even run guild wars.

i just wanted to get online and play with some of the stuff that i missed out on!
From March...Hmm... If any of y'all are around then, I'll play with ya. As far as I know my DC still runs the net, and I need an excuse to go back a few years.
PSO is not 360 playable, and the servers might be running, but they've been stuck on Christmas for over a year.
