With the new update, Kubara Blades and Staves are now legitimate equipment.
Complete SEED-Awakened, the second HIVE mission unlocked today.
At the goal lobby, a vendor additional to the CAST item shop is present.
From him, you may purchase 6* and 8* Kubara weapon boards.
These boards are cheaper than their GRM, Yohmei, and Tenora equivalents. 6* costs 12000, 8* costs 55000.
For the 8* blades, you need 10 Photons, 6 Vestaline, 6 Stelnium/Slaterian, and 6 Kubara Wood. The boards are 3-use, and have about a 33% success rate.
The rate stinks, but the actual weapons both look and seem very tasty.

currently trying to get 3 more wood to try and see if i won't fail a go at death dancerec, that one would be fun.
God, even for the 6* ones the sucess rates are crazy low! I hate it! Does putting a board on a better PM for a certain synthing trend increase the %s by any noticable amount? I hope not, then I'd need a new Nuckluc board!
Just so you know, typically the 6* Kubara melee weaps will grind higher than even 9*'s in raw ATP. The ACC or PP won't necessarily be as good, but, they DO become more powerful.
considering you can grind them successfully ;p could still be wood expensive :3

Tell me about it. I've wasted so much wood on 6* ranged weapons trying to get them to +8ish, lol. Have only made 5+10 grinders ever, so +10's not even an option at this point. Good luck with your Death Danceric, Tiff.
Oh, you know those wand boards I bought? The wands still take 200+ TP, which isn't even obtainable as a 80/10 CAST Male GT... Looks like I'll have to buckle down and saddle up with some grinded 5*'s for a LONG time.

Once I get the wood, I'll start making my 6*... but until then, I'll just have to yell at the sucess rates!
