, it is hard to explain, its basically PSO only nothing like PSO, if that makes any sense.
Game play is almost the same, however in the case of forces, you assign techs to weapons, so only 2 or 4 (depending on weapon) are assigned at a time. I dont have many techs yet, so im not too bothered, but i think it might get annoying later on to change weapon to cast a different tech.
Also there is no longer an auto targeting function, you have to line yourself up.
When you do a combo you no longer have to press the buttons in time, you can mash them, also no more special attacks or heavy attacks, you get photon arts, which look shit hot
Character creation is imba, however not much clothes to chose from at start, also you can change your class whenever you want for a fee(wont go into detail), and meseta is actually kinda useful now

After playing WoW I can tell you the red boxes in PSO give more of a "OMFG RARE!!!" reaction and more addictive that WoW epics.

Epax didnt have a huge affect on me, because the boss drops always dropped them. Also most of my gear was obtained from PvP, and i never played much at 70 because the game had already died, I was playing it for friends, but then I bought a vent server so all is ok. Anyway, to brag
