Well you're going to have to wait because it is delayed indefinitely. (Supposedly coming out this fall, yet it was orginally posted for release in April.)
Nintendo says it's because they're working out glitches. But really it's because they can't make the online function correctly. The problem being they want a safe and child friendly playing experience yet you can't have that without FC's. But because of that, you need friends who A) Own Wii's; B)Have Brawl; C) Have online; and D) Know you have your FC.
A large list of requirements. I don't think Nintendo is willing to set up the system in such a way like Microsoft did with Gears with a random search function. That's just my view.
As far as the first one goes, all pro players use wave-dashing, and they're all n00bs.
