I went to see it on upon its release here, and i loved every moment of it, the transformers were beautifully done, and the story wasnt too bad either
I do have a few gripes with it though, not going into any spoilers...
It was too focused on the humans! take a look at the original cartons and you'll see a total of around 2 people, with tonnes of giant robots :3
It was also pretty cheesy, putting too much effort into getting a few laughs out, which admittedly it did, but it put down the transformers in the process.
besides that though, it's brilliant! the fight/chase scenes were jaw droppingly awesome, Go see it, it is definately worth the 150 minutes or so of your time :3

It was alot funnier than I expected!
And also, *spoilers*
the reason there isnt as many bots as the originals is cos only a couple of Autobots and Decepticons travelled to Earth, and (as you saw) at the end of the movie, Optimus sends out a signal to other bots telling them to come here... Okay that was a pretty bad explanation, but you get the point.
