What are you talking about? The program is optional to run on the PS3.

In my opinion why does ps3 even exist? it's a 600$ system! do they honestly thik that people ae going to buy it when they could by an xbox 360 for 400$ and a wii for 250$?
folding at home is what the PS3 was designed for, just calclatsions and thats it

They released a $400 version of the PS3. Also the top of the line version of the system is only $500 now.
