I recently read an amazing book about the producers of Doom, Quake, and Wolfenstein 3D- John Romero and John Carmack, or as they were later known as, the two Johns. It's called Masters of Doom. It's an Incredible book that inspired me to learn programming and hacking in hope that one day, I could make my own video game. Has anyone else read it? It's awesome, and I highly reccomend it if you like gaming!
I incredibly dislike John Romero because of Daikatana. He promised so much with it and delivered nil. Don't mind Carmack though.
I was not pleased at all with Daikatana. I might pick this book up, it sounds somewhat interesting.
Yeah, Romero was pretty stupid, and Daikatana sucked. I love Wolfenstein though. I just love shooting the bloody pixels out of those damn Germans and their evil dog things!
Don't you just love how the dogs make the same death cry as the people? Actually, they almost sound more human than the Germans do!
