1.FDA cracking down on 'cancer cures'
The Food and Drug Administration is cracking down on teas, supplements, creams and other products that falsely claim to cure, treat or prevent cancer even though they are not agency-approved drugs. All are available for sale on the Internet.

2.Oil eases but further spikes feared
Oil prices eased slightly Tuesday -- following a wild, record-setting session the previous day -- as investors weighed expectations of higher Saudi Arabian output against the market's ability to quench soaring global demand.

3.Legendary dancer Cyd Charisse dies (who?)
Cyd Charisse, the long-legged Texas beauty who danced with the Ballet Russe as a teenager and starred in MGM musicals with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, died Tuesday. She was 86.

4.McCain wants to lift ban on offshore drilling
Sen. John McCain on Tuesday proposed lifting the ban on offshore drilling as part of his plan to reduce dependence on foreign oil and help combat rising gas prices.

And 5.Whale license plate endangered by money fight (not what you think)
One of California's most popular specialty license plates -- depicting the tail of a Pacific humpback whale rising out of misty waters -- could soon become endangered itself.

there is no reason to rmove the ban on offshore drilling as the oil companies just want more leases, they have enough for drilling but they dont use it because they dont want to lower gas prices...the worst part is: McCain wants to remove it because the government makes more of a profit than the oil companies, which is why gas prices keep going up but the government does nothing. I am going to say this to all Americans: in our Constitution it says that if our government is to become corrupt (as it is now) it is our duty and right as Americans to remove it, i say we do that now
