I care about Rico. Even if her glasses/earrings are so useless.

HUmarl could be a tribute to Alis Landale, the original hero of Phantasy Star. Looking at the PS0 screenshots, it looks like it's set in a less futuristic place than PSO. I'm liking the symbol chat. The character designs are just on the verge of getting far too cutesy, but I love it so far! Hope the gameplay is as good/better than PSO.

Rico does stay alive, she comes to principle after you free her soul, after that the soul returns to her body.

Yeah, i guess a HUmarl would be a tribute to alis, she was indeed a female hunter.

You know, you can edit, so if it doesn't cause to much trouble, edit 1 of the posts and delete the other.

Well, yeah you see them, but don't know if flowen actually returns (as i never saw anything in the story saying that he actually is alive after your fight with olga flow)
