put simply I tried converting an enemy part into a weapon and it didn't work. then I read on schtack's forums that you can no longer get enemy parts turned into weapons. is this true or a load of crap?

You can still make enemy parts to weapons, i just tried it and its still works. Maybe you didn't do the right quest? If not then all you need to play is Doc secret plan and then play dr osto research.

oh. moron me forgot to do doc's secret plan first.
