I saw this topic in the Schthack forums and most people were saying force should do their job and just j/z most monster and do shifa when needed, well i think thats pretty dumb!

No class got any job to do, you just play and have fun. Plus i think j/z every monster is pretty cheap. Sometime i just don't get people, getting mad at force because they don't do what they want them to do.

So, what do you guys think?

I don't consider the game as "you do this and i do that", when a team is made the gameplay must adapt to it and i mean all players must adapt to it.

The basic thing that makes a team sucsseful at any time is the fact that when leaved alone a player must do his best to solve the situation, so a hucast can complain if the force isn't doing the job but it's not the end of the world because of that, ppl always want eficiency but no need to rush things, with time forces understand what is more efficient and what isn't.

For those that complain that they don't want to j/z enemys then they don't know that using those techs actually tags enemys, humars and huneys use rafoie to tag, but let's face it, doing 50 damage with rafoie is actually worse then using j/z because atleast j/z actually helps the team.

I sometimes enter games with low lvl players and i help like i was a force and i dedicate to help the team because i am already lvl 200, i don't need exp anymore.
In ultimate i do what others sometimes forget to do, i may use jellen because other players already used zalure, this in the end is also good.

Forces are basicly slaves, they suport the team while everyone kills and when players die they turn to the force and beg to revive, this mentality is sad to see, wasting TP to revive and suport someone that will die in the next 30 seconds is very anoying, more then not having a suport FO

So basicly i don't mind if a force doesn't help me because i can do it on my own, it makes the job easier and safer for sure but "labeling" chars to what they should do is not my way of playing.
In cmode ppl often demand a good team gameplay and even if you don't do it correctly you will learn the hard way how to improve gameplay.

I'm FOmarl class. I have a habit of giving Shifta and Deband if mine is highest level. Depends on the other player's class, the enemies, level and difficulty level too, of course. I'll usually Zalure but only Jellen the more difficult monsters unless the party's struggling. I like to max out a team's efficiency, and since I'm usually the least damaging player when it comes to most monsters, it's the least I can do. I'm actually very proud of my class support spell bonuses and I'm usually more than happy to cast them. I'll heal whenever anyone's hurt, if money isn't a problem (it's what fluids are for). When a player dies, it's usually because I was too busy keeping myself alive rather than my carelessness. No one's been nasty about it though, because during difficult parts, they know to look after themselves.

It is, of course, up to the player. If I feel like wearing wacky looking weapons and useless gear today, meleeing around, why can't I? Using the same few methods all the time gets boring. When I'm in a messing-about mood and someone keeps going sd sd jz jz, I just explain that I don't want to, or why I don't need to. Then we'll either ignore each other or one of us will leave and there isn't a problem. I see no reason to get mad at any player. There could be all sorts of reasons the FOrce doesn't want to Jellen/ Zalure. It could even be that s/he is a new player and hasn't realised its need, or s/he knows it's not necessary for the stage, or s/he's just bored of casting it. People should talk to each other more. Find others to play with works too. XD

What do you mean? If the FOrce isn't there, the dying player would be equally useless. Did you mean the FOrce dying? If a FOrce keeps dying, then that's obviously no good, because to help others, you have to be alive yourself. Basic stuff and shouldn't only apply to FOrces. ¬_¬

Also, I'm sorry to see that you think FOrces are slaves. When players start treating me like such, I leave. At least most people love me in their team.

I see it like this. Forces have attack spells as well as defensive and status spells. Therefore their "job" as such is to use all of them to maximum efficiency. But it's a game, so if you enjoy attacking hand to hand, why not?

in my humble opinion a force's only "Job" is to do two things. help the party and have fun which is the job of every character. although you should cast shifta and deband to help the party (I don't do that much. I think monsters on scthack (no matter how I spell that it looks wrong) have higher defense because I have about two hundred more ATP than my maxed ATP hunewearl on Xbox.) and otherwise on ultimate TTF I'm pretty dang useless.

I suport a char with shifta and deband, that person dies, that means i have to revive (because they usually don't carry scapes for god knows why), i need to heal them and i need to recast shifta and deband to make sure he is on the right track again, if he dies soon after that then the shifta and deband were a waste, it's a waste of time and tp to do this, the tp and time could be used to suport the other players.

It's necessary to help team players but sometimes it's also anoying especially when the force can't help a team player in a better way.

The force is a slave and i hate when ppl don't help themselves or other players, it's always the force job to do it and that often makes forces play in a way they don't want.

yeah. after dying every other enemy it gets annoying reviving the person. at that point you should make it clear "unless you stop kamikazeing the enemy I'm not going to revive you because it's not worth mine or anybody else's time." if they're noobs I can understand them constantly dying but I expect more of a level 40 and higher

When I play as my force ( yes, he is super cool ) I do a mixed of attacking and techs because you know....I'm buff.....see those muscles hehe, and my techs are pretty good too. I ,most of the time do S/D but not all the time.I never J/Z monsters I agree with Liu Bei, making monsters too weak take the fun out of it, who wants to play PSO and kill everything easily? Its fun with everyone gets beat up. So to sum it all up, forces just need to S/D people.

Oh, you mean the players who stop even half-trying whenever they see there's a FOrce in the team? You got to teach them not to do that. Good non-FOrce party members are no less careful when there is a FOrce in the party, and not because they don't trust the FOrce.

Yeah, when I play FOmar I worry much less about healing others (usually can't reach anyway) because it's so much fun to be a meleer.

Does that mean you shouldn't judge? No...
It just means if you're going to judge, just know that you too shall be judged.

If you're going to complain about how someone isn't using their character to a certain efficiency, you'd better be playing YOUR character to the maximum efficiency.

i.e., a CAST tells a FO to J/Z the enemies >___> they might reply with something like... "coming from the CAST who doesn't know wtf a trap is"

I won't say that I agree with the whole "oh well, let them do whatever". If you join a party, you should try to be helpful to the best of your ability.
I mean even as HUnewearl or RAmarl I wear Resta merge in parties.
I try to S/D and J/Z if there's no Force that is available or willing.
But I don't hesitate to ask for support, but the BIGGEST factor is HOW you communicate the message.
"wtf, you're a force, act like one, give us s/d, j/z enemies noob"
Yeah, because THAT will get you what you want <___< I've never heard anyone reply "oh of course good sir! what ever was I thinking"

You can be like... "got any S/D for me ?" or be silly about it so it doesn't seem intruding.

In my opinion, playing however you want IN A PARTY is selfish if you're not helping your team what-so-ever.
