as the rest of team ragol.co.uk must know by now, i've not been able to play Blue burst in a long while, it's been problem after problem and i have no clue what even started it. i'm now clueless though, so i am wondering if you guys could help me out.
after clicking on my shortcut to BB, it tries to update the game, and comes up with this message

clicking ok just closes the pop up, the online window remains as is.
any clue on fixing this one? :/
hmmmmm maybe your shortcut is corrupt, check your properties of the shortcut. If the field for "Start in:" is blank,enter the path to your PSOBB folder.

that's your problem? I'm ashamed I didn't ask you now. I've been having this problem FOREVER. all you have to do is drag your phantasy star online sytem file into your normal icons, open the file and click Online. dragging it onto you normal icons is simply for convenience.
The shortcut created doesn't work, simply make a manual shortcut and delete the one you have now.

I had the exact same problem a while back, and fix works great. Just go into program files, look for the blue burst folder and make a shortcut of online.exe
Also, I can see that you're not using vista, but if anyone happens upon this thread who is using vista you may need to right click your new shortcut and hit "run as administer".
i've had lots of problems for this, and this was the latest. i say was because thats now fixed thanks to you guys
only theres a new problem! i click start on the loader and it just ends the program, doesn't even bother loading the game. any ideas there?
Hmm thats weird...But i notice you got AVG, soo i'm thinking that its blocking psobb from working.
Check your AVG, add psobb folder to your exceptions to your AVG. You will also need to add psobb folder to your exceptions resident shield. McAfee, AVG, and Norton have been known to cause problems.
If that don't then i don't know whats the problem then.....But i hope it do works!
it's not avg thats doing it, i went as far as uninstalling it completely and it still doesnt work. if it helps the loader tells me its updating scpsobb.exe every time i open it :/

If that doesn't work try to run the game from the game folder and not from the shortcut you created.

gonna reinstall it now for the umpteenth time, see if that helps
