Anywho... I'm a level 111 HUmar, with an Oran Section ID. (As if you couldn't figure that out.)
I'm trying to find a good Sword or Partisan-type weapon, and the best I have now is a Dragon Slayer and Vjaya/Gae Bolg. Any suggestions?
(I'm already going for the Red Partisan, so if that's your suggestion, don't waste your time.)
soulbanish deals the most damage in the game from what I know.
soul eater is a good berserk weapon along with yunchang if that's what you're looking for.
Banish, eh...? Yikes. Time to level up my Redria.

In the meantime, would a Soul Eater suffice? I'll figure out how to take Kireek's eventually...
Oran, unfortunately, is a pretty sorry ID. Aside from the Red Partisan you mentioned, your best bets would be a 50hit Charge Gungir (buy it from the shops; once you level up and have more ATP) or a Vjaya with hit percent, if you're just rolling in Meseta. (And in this economy, no one is. Thanks, AIG.)
Got any characters other than the Oran or Redria?
Yeah, I used to love Oran. Then I started dropping Bloody Arts an Cross Scars on sight. Sadly, all my characters except Ishikawa are damned weak: I do have a Viridia and a Skyly. I suppose I should start leveling the hell out of them, huh?
skyly gets swords which can be very useful. they're slower but deal more damage than partisans.
Looks the only one I have a prayer of getting is the Chain Sawd, then. Ooh, boy!

Well, looks like eventually I'll still be shooting for the Banish. Yiiikes.
You should aim for the Imperial Pick, its looks really cool plus you could find it in the forest
