It can come from anywhere. The cow will become infected with it anywhere. I think the first case was over here in the UK though.
Oh too bad for u. Where i live is the first place in the us to get it.
It mainly started really bad in Scotland. Many farmers were put out of business and forced to burn their cattle.

I think it comes from contaminated feed for cows. People usually chop anything up and put it in animal feed. This means anything bad passes onto the cows. Which passes onto us. I remember something about brains.... maybe if there is animal brains in the animal feed, wether it affects the cows brains, or if it eats at ours.
Whatever, you don't want it. The first case for a long time in the UK started down south I think....that or up north in the Lake District. Lasted for a while. Didn't stop me eating meat. There is always a chance your food is contaminated from something. THe list is endless.
Im sure it first started in Scotland somewhere and it just spread from there. Lasted too long and wasn't very nice to live with
So pretty much, u dont want to eat any beef.
