Yes I have figured out a way to avoid losing all your hard earned side weapons (and -mates/-fluids, youd be surprised how much those cost when you buy them again o.o ). Its very simple....if you get FSOD, turn off your Gamecube, remove your internet connection from the GC (modem or phone line, unplug them). Then....attempt to go online again. I know it sounds dumb but it kicks you off, then resaves your files. This save will overlap the "Character failed to leave game correctly" and your items will be safe and sound.

Pretty cool huh? Saved me my Chain Sawd, Red Saber, and Flight Cutter!

Would you mind if I put it in
this thread?

FSOD = Frozen screen of death. Never happened to me before but if i understand right its when the screen freezes in a save, and you lose all your items that arent in your bank or equipped. This includes meseta, and it only happens online so offline players needn't worry.
Sure I dont mind you moving it...i didnt know where to put it exactly n_n;;; Is this Info helping anyone?
no supply droid you didnt figure out anything lol. ST changed FSOD to where you only lose your money now. No matter what you dont lose your unequipped things, only your cash and its been this way for a few months now lol. Sorry to burst your bubble man. Oh and a technique that has worked for me 90% of the time is to take out the memory card before you turn off the game (while the screen is frozen), turn off then return on the GCN, leave the card out until the agree/disagree screen comes on then pulg it back in. But now that only saves your money which is hardly worth the effort seeing as you get money easy as hell so yeah.
are you sure about that because about a month ago I was FSODed and I lost all of my unequiped items
maybe its only been about a month then lol, it feels like longer but it has been at least one month cuz in january i distinctly remember FSODing and keeping all but my cash.
I think its just that all FSOD differs, depends on how you get it and when you get it i suppose, you could lose everything or nothing, it all differs. But like Lionheart said, whenever i get FSOD, i tug out my Memory Card, then turn the Gamecube off and on again, then plug the card back in, and everythings fine!
