old phantasy stars were almost the same as the olf FFs, but much beter Tongue
well you couldnt have a turn-based/online RPG, it wouldnt work. If one person went away from the controller mid battle, than you lose some manpower and they couldnt develop a powerful story if you have a different amount of people in your party everytime. And there would be no character development as there are countless characters. That would be a sucky game. If they left it offline...now theres something to consider.
PS IV was a pretty conclusive ending for that series..............and a return to Algol for a PSO IV would probably not work in terms of story. If I was making a PSO IV, it would be about 1,000 years after PSO III, and be a PSO I & II style RPG. I would basically just mprove on the graphics and combo system.
I have to admit I was never a big fan of the orignal Phantasy Star games. PSO on the other hand has really blown me away and glued me to the Gamecube for days on end. This is why I was dissapointed with Sonic Team's decision to make PSO3 a card game. Dont get me wrong, its a fun concept, but it loses something in my opinion. I dont think I'll be getting it myself.

I want to know what happens to RR Rico though... its never really explained in Ep1. That is, unless its explained after beating ultimate - havent managed that feat yet! (and if so, dont tell me ^_^).

I adore Final Fantasy, incidentally, just didnt have the patience with PS because the storyline was too slow a pace.
Right, so, so far, you prefer FF to PSO? Or just PS?
i prefer the FFs to PSO, PSO is still a fun game but i definitely like the FF series better.
Well, I guess that was obvious from your username....
yep, hence my final fantasy thread in the PS2 section.
