I was wondering, what the heck is the BU-Ei that I see online on some people while others have nothing??????

BU-Ei is their Challenge Rank!

My Challenge Rank is currently Ra-Ei and i've finished Challenge 7. I can't remember which Challenge Mode they've just finished. I would have known...but i haven't been online for a while!

Oh, I see, I never play challenge mode that much. The only challenge stage I've cleared is offline in the forest.

Challenge Mode is quite good, especially online. Its a great way to meet up with random people, and get along with them, whatever language they speak, and earn your way upto a Special S-Rank weapon. There's lots of things around this forum and the main website though, and no doubt you've heard it all before. I'd say its well worth giving it a try.

BU-EI is the highest C-mode rank you can get for ep1 c-mode. I'm not sure if I put c-mode ranks in the sticky in the challenge mode forum.

I thought it was, they go up in sets of 3. It must be Ra-Ei, Gi-Ei, and then Bu-Ei for challenges 7, 8, & 9.
