NOL,what does it mean???

NOL is when they change your character to an NPC. It got it's name from one of the characters you can be turned into. It reset your level and everything.
There are also corruption, FSODing, and numerous other hacks on the Dreamcast version. Some of these may come onto GC but it might take a bit because of the GC's increased security.

Not yet, form what I've heard you can't FSOD other people on PSO 3, and the connnection is very stable from what other players are telling me which is why it takes a bit longer to enter games, as well as other blocks, lobbies, and ships.

Numerous examples of people getting FSODed. Its the importers with the JP version, using a code to translate most of the game to English, using a special word select.
Avoiding it? If you come across them, you probably won't be able to get out of there in time. If you do find someone doing it, try not to provoke them and [b]don't run to the counter or lobby warp[b]. The reason being is that, if they see you running they will probably FSOD you. The best thing to do would to stand still and go into Chat. Search for a friend and meet them, or choice search for anyone in your lobby and get the hell out of there.
It only affects people using the US version. People using the JP version (importers) aren't affected. A work around this is to change your language to JP I think but that is pretty redundant -.-.
