hey guys im thinkin of getting ff11 and going online, any anyone played it? im a big pso fan so i dont know if itll be as good, what do u think? is it as good as pso or is it crap?
I play ff11 and pso. There both good and very different games. FF11 is more like the other mmorpgs and your chracter lives in a persistant online world on one server only and there are no lobies etc. In pso there is offline play and you arent retricted to only playing with the people on one server/ship. In pso the game play requires taping buttons in combinations simple ones but in ff11 its click and slect attack wait, next creature. The games arent private either so you have to compete for mobs with other players/groups. In ff11 you also only get 1 character slot and its an extra $1 a month for an extra 1 ontop of the $12 a month u already pay. Both gd and different games FF11 is more like eq and pso is more of a dungeon crawl. Hope that ramble helps lol.
FF11 is way better, thats mainly because its newer. Those of you who remember The Joe completely abandoned PSO for FF11 and i would do the same if i had the PS2...FF11 is quite fun, once you get to higher levels, the battles require more thought but at first, it IS just "select attack, wait........killed it, next monster". Its got a TON of different things to do and the world really is the size of a real world (it takes me 20-30 mins to run from where i level up back to town and thats only 4 areas from town and about 5% of the world!)
Pso ep1+2 > FF11 > Pso ep3... to me
This is difficult one, being a hardcore FF fan, and also a PSO fan, err, I'll have to say FF11 cos it is more challenging, (only just a little bit more though
).
Being a hardcore FF fan i would have to say that but it is a very hard choice and depends what you want to get out of a game. oh well do what u want
if youre hardcore FF fans, you should check out my thread in the PS2 section. I bet im more a hardcore fan than you guys *challenges*! lol anyway, FF11 is way more challenging (logged over 80hours on that game and im only a level18 warrior and a level 8 white mage and thats only 2 outta the 14 or 15 jobs each of which can get to level 99).

naw PSO is so old to me now, i have every rare (except 3) and i have almost 2 level200 chars. Even when the game was new though, i would enjoy FF11 better it has WAY more to offer.
ff11 i don wanna get, cause then ill have to pay out more lol. im already paying for pso, runescape, soon to be wow lol. im paying for to many things lol.
