Lionheart Wrote:how would you know what the inscription says if you dont have a TJ (which is more than likely an illegit TJ).

simple, you find someone that does have one and ask them to show it to you.
If you dont want to handle it with your own character for fear of FSOD then you just get them to show it to you over the trade window.
Either way, you still get to check the description.
ummm...dude, what if theres is illegit, ever think of that?

Maybe some of them were legit.
I wont deny that that is a possibility but they all say the same thing.
it still doesnt explain the name Orochiagito which doesnt seem to appear anywhere else in the game.

Of course! I couldnt ever own a legit TJ but anybody else could?
Im starting to see a pattern here.
Naughty naughty Lionheart Tongue

It is also possible to just read the inscription from an item database surprisingly enough! :O

Ohjiro: Some poorly made hacks have a messed up inscription or none at all, but it is unlikely that a hacked one would only be slightly off the correct one's, so it is safe to say that what you have stated is correct.

Don't forget that ST's translation skills have been a bit shoddy in places, so the English inscription may be slighlty off.

Uhhh...wait, Im confused. Did someone actually just agree with me?

Fair point
well then its seems the mystery is solved, i believe we can lock this thread now...well if you guys dont have anything else to say anyway.
Why would you want to lock the thread?
As of yet noone has been nasty to anyone else and there is also another mystery.
There are two sealed J-swords.
One says that it will unseal when all techniques are used, and the other (the one shown in Ragol.co.uk's item database) says
"An ancient sword. Its power is sealed by a mysterious mark, which paraliyzes the person who has it."
Anyone know which is the real one? :ponder:
"Ancient sword with its power sealed by an unknown stamp. The seal opens when all techniques are used." is the inscription on the real Sealed J-Sword, though all the technique methods have been tried and I think it was found that the actual translation from Japanese didn't mention techniques like this.

Interestingly enough, another renowned hacker is claiming that Barubary was wrong with the 23,000 method and that it is in fact 100,000, but this person isn't known to be as helpful as Barubary was, so my money is on the 23k amount. I will keep you posted on this new claim when we hear more about it.
flaming isnt the only reason why a thread is closed. If the question is answered or the mystery solved, then there is no point to leave a thread like this open, it just welcomes spamming. However, thanks to Omar, there is a new topic.
New topic?
"who is the most reliable famous hacker"
little unusual but what the hell.
(Do the staff here view hell as a swear word in that context?)

Omar [please dont hit me for my ignorance but] who is this Barubary guy?

finally, If Omar is correct about the j-swords description then shouldnt someone change the description on the item database?
