wow, your dad is an asshole obviously...that really sucks, I would never be mean to my kids like that.

My mom would just yell and yell. It was like there was no volume button. I couldnt do anything. Then, if she caught on that I wasn't actually listening to her ranting, she would say 'What did I just say?' and when I couldn't answer, she would get this scary smile on her face and slap me. Then she would talk about how even on my best day I would never be able to beat her. Funny now, cuz she got beat by a 16 year old otaku. And she is out $350 everymonth cuz my dad dont pay child support for me to her anymore.

It's sort of funny that in some ways that isnt considered "physical dicipline" but it can mentally damage a child in the same way... children are very impressionable.

Eh. By the time I was 10, I was used to it. It wasn't till recently I realized all parents didn't act like them.

yeah, but still, kids shouldnt have to go through that... but that's kinda the point of this thread, huh?

Yeah. No one, no matter the age, should be abused or hurt just cuz someone thinks its dicipline.

But it happens to thousands every day..... so sad

Yeah. Some people get rescued. Some have to rescue themselves. And others are trapped. I feel sorry for the one's who are trapped and the ones who rescue themselves. They have it the worst.
