My copy is preowned, will this have any effect on me getting online?, i dont want to waste the money buying a modem adapter for the GCN and the hunter licence if it wont let me on

You'll have to phone Sega with the serial and access codes and see if they can reset the account they are tied to.
If you are English then go to http://www.playsega.com and register there. If it tells you your numbers are already registered then phone sega on 08456 090 090. Tell them that it's preowned and you need to create a new account so you can buy a HL. You probably won't get your free 30 days though.

I've tried ringing Sega UK & they say I have to get the original owner to delete their account, which is fine if I knew who they were! Can anyone help out with another way?
Does just using a code from PSO3 work (without PSO3)?

Yeah I had the same problem myself with Ep I&II - I contacted Sega Europe, and Sega USA. Both said that I would need to contact the original owner or just return the copy to the shop for a refund.

Well I just got myself Ep III and used the access, and serial for both games but no 30 day free.

But I quick search with Kelkoo revelled the following sites offering PSO Ep I&II (PAL) for GC.

MX2 - £34.99 (Its about half way down the page).

HMV - £39.99

Both offering Ep I&II! - Mods you may like to sticky a topic with sites offering PSO Ep I&II to buy? and also in the future offering Ep III!

If you are in the UK, you could always pop into WHSmiths. I saw two copies in Manchester for £15!! ^_^ how cheap is that.

that aint cheap to a shop in burnley one copy was £3 = (old) and one was £9 = (new)
