So a site with 3000 members and counting is complete meaningless crap? The word n00b has more applications than just in MMORPGs it is a word used in almost every online game ever known to man........Don't disgrace my intelligance by just posting misleading crap...politics give me enough of that stuff...

I'll try to answer your question for mike. Now, newb has the word "new" in it. That's pretty self-explanitory...and n00b has zeros in it. Basically saying they're nothing...scum...idiots...etc.
I could be wrong so just let mike answer.
But, the 0 could mean "knows nothing", i.e., a newbie. C'mon! It means newbie!
