I already know the mag path that her mag's gonna take, but I'm wondering which wapon I should have her use.

if u can get rikas claw or cross scar. they are pretty good

No way surely the real Nei's claw is best. It's extremelly RARE!

If you want a really good weapon I suggest Red Partisan, easy drop in Whitill.
Then you might want a weapon like Asuka for 1 on 1 fights, easy drop in Pinkal or Whitill.
Try to always carry a long range weapon (gun, mechgun, slicer), possibly a powerful one.

I would say that the cross scar is pretty decent too. But I don't have too much experience with hunters.

For Hunters its a good idea to have 3 types of weapon;

- One-on-one Weapon, EG: Sabres, Double Sabres, Twin Swords etc

- Multi-Hitting Weapon, EG: Partisans, Swords etc

- Ranged Weapon, EG: Handgun, Mechgun, Slicer etc

If you can get a decent one of each of these types of weapons, you should be able to deal with anything the game throws at you

I just made a HUnewearl yesterday and I have her to lvl.21 on ruins already. For starting out,I would say that daggers,knifes,blades,edges,and so on are great for one-on-one battles,As junon stated,you will have to carry a partisan(in my opinion are better than swords)and you might have to carry a handgun(I don't because my range sucks and then enemies come to you sometime,right?)

So true. I use a Asuka +30 (love it), Hell Gunginir+8/Flowen's Sword+ 21, and a Vulcan+9 with a 30% hit (looking for twin psychoguns with my greenill)

Partisans are better at lower lvs because they are more accurate than swords but when ur ata is higher i say swords are better because they are stronger.

In my opinion I don't think there is any "one" best weapon,since using the combinations of others is mainly the idea. Maybe you should restate the question and ask which weapons are best for a HUnewearl,because on my HUnewearl I never just use just one weapon. Get what I'm saying?Anyway, my general idea on best weapons for her in person,would be close-combat weapons.
