Im expecting Universe to be one big MMORPG styled game whereby hundreds of people enter the same grounds, running around, exploring, picking items up, slaying monsters, etc.
If anyones played Runescape (As many have i expect), then something like that, but PS style, and in full 3D down at eye-level, not arial view playing, except with bosses and level changes in PSO style (If that makes any sense!).
Hmm, I really am interested in making a site for PSU, it sounds awesome by what I've read...
Thinkin about a really tough boss online that takes 10's of people to take down does sound pretty cool plus making it more team orientated.
But i can see the problems if 1 rare does get dropped ! Not a position i'd like to be in
Indeed, it's bad enough when there's just 4 of you and a rare gets dropped.
Lets all hope though, that the game play returns to Hack N Slash , don't think I would play if it's turn based. :'(
Well, they'd probs change it to an after-battle hand-out system or something, or give everyone in the party a copy of the rare. I'm thinking this game is gonna be a bit like City Of Heros/Heroes.

Another rumour is that it will be upto 16 in a game
some are saying upto 1000.. but it aint in a game it looks like its planet !
i was thinking about what some of you said about if a rare item drops, well i think all items from enemys that you kill or do the most damage to would go straight to your inventory.( by the way does anyone even have a clue when it comes out?)
calling it PSO Universe is not accurate.. it's Phantasy Star Universe.. not PSOU... just thought i'd let you know..
Yeah, nobody knows whether this title will be online or offline (PSO or continuation of PS).
Also, OL-Dark Blade, the game, when previewed at E3 2004, had only just begun development. I believe it is slated for a Fall of 2006 release, or perhaps later. Or maybe earlier, though I highly doubt it will ship in 2005.
It pretty much HAS to be online, really...
