I found a Varista last night with a guy using a hacked mag. So I think it's pointless for you all to continue babbling like idiots.

The reason PSOGC's hacked mags don't stop rares from dropping is because the game cannot be patched to add such a measure. They had to bring out a new disc (PSO+) to add this.
The only time a person on Ep1&2 on GC will be effected by a hacked mag stopping rares is if the game maker online is a PSO Plus user.

From my experience as a cheater in the past, it's way easier than it sounds.

I am aware of that, but I was hoping you would realise that I don't often post things unless I have proof that what I am saying is correct.
I've heard that hacked mags don't effect you on game cube, but they do on xbox, along with weapons that have 127%s on them. By the way they don't block rares,but tweek the drop %age on rares so you'll be lucky to find more than one per month; online or offline.

Mmmm thats weird i only get about 4 rares a month... maybe the xbox is thinking my mag is hacked cuz i get like so less rares.

i dont seem to find any rares any more but im just on hard and i went in 3 rooms in forest1 and BANG! theres a varista
my only rare from an enemy with that char other time i found a boomas claw on normal!
You'll only truly start finding rares on VHard and Ultimate.
On topic: Hacks will not affect a non-PSO+ game - I was playing with a guy called Azrael recently, he claimed to have been "hacked up his ass" and we still found that the Sil Dragon dropped us a red box.
