I was wondering whats so great about charged weapons but I was reading the gamefaqs boards and say a topic about "Best Weapons". Anyways, some guy said that A Charge Calibur with Hit% (element) was the best weapon a Hunter could use, mainly Hucast and Hucaseal. I know Charge does more damage and such but I never exactly used it. I always thought they were just crappy weapons so I sold em

(some player I am?). Anyways, thats my question, why are they so good? and how much damage could one generally do on Ultimate? I don't really know how to calculate this stuff so I'm hoping one of you people know how >_<
Charge takes 200 Meseta per monster successfully hit to deal 2 times as much damage as a hard attack, but has rather low accuracy.
Gold photon weapons (Calibur, Raygun, Laser, Vulcan, Gungnir, Diska, Arms...) with Charge and at least 40% hit can be very good, but they'll never be the "best".
okay

...thanks for the help.
A Charge Vulcan is admittedly one of the strongest weapons in the game, if one accepts cumulative damage to equal high power...
On a side note concerning Charge weapons: Not all Charge weapons reduce your Meseta by 200. Case in point: look at the Vjaya (9* rare Partisan type). The charge on that sucks 10,000 Meseta (count them) from your wallet, eventually leaving it extremely desperate for cash...
Vjaya's special is not charge, not at all -_-
And charge weapons often miss (charge is not very accurate, even with over 50% hit), so they cannot be that good.
uhh, how is Vjaya's special not Charge? It drains cash for a stronger attack, right?
Im looking for a charge vulcan but i doubt it will ever have any decnt hit%

Charge drains 200 meseta per target successfully hit to deal twice as much damage as a hard attack.
Vjaya drains 10 000 meseta
per swing regardless of your hitting anything or not to deal
three times the damage of a hard attack.
I see a great difference, the only thing in common is meseta =/
It's still draining Meseta to improve attack power, therefore it is a Charge special, albeit in some horribly mutated form that drains 50x as much Meseta prior to hitting/missing... ST really messed up when they designed that weapon.

Vjaya does not drain 200 meseta, Vjaya does not deal twice the damage of a hard attack, Vjaya drains meseta even if you "miss". Vjaya does not have a Charge special. It's an original special, like Berdysh, Tsumikiri J-Sword, Orotiagito, Lavis Cannon, etc.
