Mario could fly when he had the winged cap, he didnt need a freaking lazy-ass backpack to do so.

Yeah, as of late mario went insanely downhill, I would have to say that superstar saga was pretty good, though. Definitely past the Vacuum/water asspack caliber.

Luigi is cool and fun to use but I mean, hes meant to be Mario's heel imo, nothing really major.
Come to think of it, Luigi was originally just a green dressed mario...
