The reason?

I've found an association called the GCN. This association is in fact the Gaming Clubs Network for Warhammer in the UK.

The solution?

Drop the N from the end of the term GCN when it is used to refer to a Gamecube. Putting the N on the front won't work as theresult (NGC) isthe name of a games magazine in the UK.

I am fed-up with people wrongly terming our beloved Gamecube by plonking the N there, and I felt I needed to stress this.

gamecube nintendo or nintendo gamecube
gcn or ngc

why don't you just call it a cube, it is easier to say as it has 1 syllable but then again its more to type
Why doesn't everybody? GCN and NGC are, in fact, trademarks...

its my favourite magazine
One time my mom called it a 'Gamebox', I promptly corrected her as quickly as I could.
well "it" (my stepdad) called my beloved cube an xbox once, i corrected him so he confiscated it, i hate him so much, but now he has left. yay ^_^
GC is short for Good Charlotte, Galactic Conquest and many many other things that could come up on a gaming messageboard.

NGC is a UK magazine and as this site has a UK majority, most people will know what it is and want to discuss it at some point.

This is the first time however, that I have seen another abbreviation of GCN. I don't think you finding this club will change much...
