I gotta go with my forces. there just too good. but hey, everyone has a difference of opinion
If I might add, RAmar's look nice when you know how to change his appearance.

Even so... I still find it a lot easier to have high DFP, mostly because I don't get hit immediately after unless I'm fighting Sinows. The trick is to use a Dimate immediately after the hit - I time it almost impeccably sometimes.
As for the knocked-on-the-floor business, that doesn't bother me. If I don't get knocked over I can use recovery items immediately, maybe squeeze off a shot or two before getting attacked again. If I got knocked down I'd end up with a Delsaber playing basketball with my character - no joke.
Quote:Like I've said before, a good ranger will rarely get hit
Like I've said before, enemies do have ranged attacks...
Quote:and even if he does I don't think 82 damage is going to mean death, but if that's the case then you're too weak to even be there anyway.
With a reference to the 82 extra DFP, I don't think HP reduction is calculated directly from ATP minus DFP, there are other factors. As for the weakness stuff, that's not the point, 82 HP can make all the difference between burning a Scape and surviving to use a Trimate.
Plus, I hardly ever get damaged badly enough to lose more than 300 HP anyway (800 if in Seabed or on bosses).
Quote:I hope you're joking about finding it hard to hit Gees and Canabins. When you miss on those it's usually because your bullet has physically missed since they move quickly, not because of low ATA.
If that's the case, then why did I miss a PARALYSED Gee with my Snow Queen at a total of 291 ATA? It's not because my attack has physically missed - according to the graphics my shot smacked that Gee straight between the eyes and it still came up MISS.
Ditto with an already-frozen Canabin, and a Zol Gibbon that was unaware of my presence even after I fired four shots at it.
Quote:later on the huge ATP advantage will be more useful if you're gonna be hitting with every attack anyway. High natural ATP is also very nice to have, since Shifta only amplifies that.
True, true, but it's wasted power if you don't hit.
On a lighter note:
Quote:BTW changing a RAcaseal's head does not get rid of the metallic frock.
I never said it did. There is a way to get rid of it - it's the third row yellow costume. No frock, no bow-tie at the back, nothing that even makes her resemble a Victorian maidservant for a brief moment.
That's why he has D-Parts! So his mighty power will always hit.
My RAmarl hardly ever misses out a Canabin with her Final Impact (282 ATA combined), when she misses it's because of the fast movements they make.
Most ranged attacks are actually FIXED damage (in fact almost all of them are...), which ISN'T affected by defense. Having more HP helps in those situations, and the RAcast happens to have the highest HP in the game, so this point actually makes DFP seem even more pointless on a Ranger. I don't know what you mean with the Delsaber comment, it's easy to just sidestep their attacks. Defense will only help you with melee attacks, and if you know what you're doing as a ranger then you will hardly get hit by melee attacks.
You might also like to note that at a certain range you get an ATA penalty. Maybe that's what caused you to miss so often. Anyway, who cares if you miss the odd hit on a Gee or a Canabin, those enemies are pathetic. Oh dear I missed a Gee, I'M DOOMED!
Base attack damage is calculated from total ATP minus enemy defense. Hard hits do 1.8* that and criticals do 3.6* that. So 82 defense reduces damage by 147 if enemies do hard attacks, or 82 if they do just normal attacks. I'm not sure which is right, but the defense advantage makes hardly any difference either way.
but a force with really high level and techniques can kill, so I still gottta say that they're better
even though i love my lvl 125 Hunewearl, i know that my Fonewm would own her so i say Fonewm is the best but really only for clearing rooms out and looking so cool.. the big butts rule!
I like my lvl 98 HUcast, Just a very hard hitter
RAmar. they look so cool.
MY favs gotta be the HUney because they are the HUnter equivalent to a force with their mst (at higher levels) then is the FOmarl because they CAN melee (if raised right) but give her Cacadeus and she is death incarnate with grants .....
