What does a photon sphere do?

I think it increases the percents on weapons

Adds 30% to an attribute on a weapon. Used in the quest Gallon's Shop after completing the Tower quests and getting the data for Paganini.

I think you can also ise them to buy other items from Pagini. In fact the only place I've seen photon sphere's was in Pagini's shop, where you give him 30 Drops for one sphere. That way you can accumulate more than 99 drops worth of exchangable photon items.

It's 90 drops for a Sphere. It sounds like a ripoff but it isn't - compare the Drops' 20% increase and ten Drops left over with the Sphere's 30% increase.

You're right (of course), thanks for the correction. So everyone can imagine how many drops the guy that offered you a weapon with 100% in 3 sections is giving away along with the weapon :S

BTW am I right that photon spheres aren't drops but something you can only purchase from Pagini?
