but the thing to keep in mind is that you can only get one weapon once per character as far as i know, so if you want to get something make sure your gonna use it or need it, otherwise your just wasting your time...
Exactly. In my case I chose a Suppressed Gun for several reasons:
1) The gun looks secksay
2) I needed a change from a ....Varista -_-
3) I don't want a God Hand, and can't use a Technical Crozier.
i want to get a heavenly punisher, i hear that looks hella cool.... :'( y cant the blacksmith make that?
Actually, it's Heaven Punisher, but meh. Well, I assume the blacksmith doesn't give you that handgun as an option because for most IDs it's so damn rare that you'll never find one. Giving you it from SoaB would be like taking candy from a baby.
lol, if i had one i'd spell it right and i dont want SoaB to give it to me yeti wouldnt mind if there was some huge subplot using that mission to get it(like getting instructions to make it from the Doc or something... lol not gonna happen
can you only get the really good weapons from the quest on Ult. or just any other difficulty(and i'm sure that they won't be as good as the ult. ones)?

you will only get the god hand supressedgun or technique crolizer and ultimate!
you get basic weapons, some with hit on the normal hard and very hard difficulty, but like wveryone else has said the suppressed gun, technical crozier and god hand are ultimate only
Although the Soul of a Blacksmith rewards are fairly useless, its a great quest for offline forest hunts and levelling. With the right equipment and a strong enough character you can rack up 40k+ in around 10 minutes - recently I found myself an angel harp and 2 Gulgus Gue God Arms doing this :cheerful: . Its worrying how quickly a fonewm could clear it.
