Apparantly the Custom Ray isn't that good without the Frame and the Shield to go with it. I have the Frame, but not the shield. I wonder if that combo is any good?

Seems I had another rather good day with another character, at least so far. My Bluefull character went into VHard Ruins, briefly, for Doc's Secret Plan. I got a D-Parts and a Gae Bolg. Or at least... I would have. When I quit, it said something was corrupted and everything had to be deleted. Not liking the only option, I just turned off the cube and restarted it. All my characters seem to be there... looks like nothing happened, right? I haven't played since. If something's going to happen to my card, I may want to put all my rares and stuff on my other card, right?

I've heard the same thing, NetNomad. That the Custom Ray is barely worth equipping unless you have the complete combo..something which I'll never obtain. lol

The custom ray ver.00 combo isnt worth the hassle, the barrier looks cool, but just for the bonus of 50% on power it sucks as the frame and barrier are pooey

the ray looks quite k00l too........... but it DOES suck by itself it is even weaker than the Varista

Indeed. The only reasons you'd want to use a Custom Ray over a Varista are if you have the rest of the combo, or if for some reason you really like the burning special.

Ouch. That's a pretty crappy gun then. Alone, that is..

Yeah... before I knew about the combo, it just didn't make any sense at all. I thought, why would a handgun that's more rare than a Varista be less powerful than a Varista?

Anyway, I got another Gae Bolg, and a Brave Hammer on a run through Ruins 1. No D-Parts this time... but I'm not too annoyed about that because I only have one android right now, and I already found one for him.
