i think they should have srank frying pan

Claws suck if you arent a HUnewearl! I suggest androids get anything with Zalure. They need a good source of lowering defense on enemies!

I think a Jellen Partisan would be cool... considering that you tend to get hit a lot when you're using a partisan on groups of enemies (like in the ruins). I've gotten to like Jellen more recently because I don't get knocked down so often.

Question though... what's the difference between an S-Rank Mechgun and Psychogun? Or a Partisan and a Scythe? Is it just the looks, or are their stats really different?

Jellen is equally useless on Mechs

Partisan is more powerful than Scythe, but only 4 classes can equip Partisan while 11 can use Scythe.
S-Rank Psychogun have the exact same stats as S-Rank Mechgun, but S-Rank Psychogun cannot have a custom special, therefore only good if you had no intention of putting a special.

no, the reason is that Jellen and Zalure specials NEVER miss, and one hit is enough to J or Z a monster, and the least a Mechgun can hit is 3 times, which is a waste of 2 hits.

I think it's a lot better to put J or Z on a multi target weapon such as Slicer, Shotgun or Needle.

One close range multi target weapons such as Partisan, Sword and Scythe, I recommend only Jellen it you want a stat reducing special because you're very likely to get hit in close range combat (especially Mine, VR Spaceship, GDV and Seabed), thus the use of Jellen.

You got a point kefka, But JZ S-rank can miss. I've seen it myself when i used my S-rank slicer w/ Zalure (in ult). What's more, the enemy doen't flinch when you JZ them with a S-rank, so using a close-combat wep with JZ is a bad idea, you open yourself to a world of pain.

Also, Spirit/beserk wasn't really effecive. I missed 90% of the time and ended up only hitting once. A combo would have done more. (used in ult.) I think S-rank mechguns aren't that good anyway. Stick to a vulcan/gatting with hit% and a good sepcial like spirit, berserk (if berserk, stick to Vice w/ hit%), Hp steal, Tp steal, charge, king, demon, Ect. and then boost the PB of the mechs (i say boost Na, Mc, and Dark) so when you really use them they're effective.

For sword, stick to Zanba/Red sword. To me, the really good S-ranks (for Hu) are handgun (Zalure) and slicer/J-cutter (Zalure or Beserk/Spirit). I use Gun and slicer w/ Zalure. So get either S-rank handgun or Slicer/J-cutter

1) don't got an claw s-rank, but it's probably ok, but powerful claws (nei's, rika's, Hop, dragon's) are probably better.
2)well, it's been said already in the topic, i don't need to say it again.
3) Remember that ninga star wep?(think it's called furry cutter) They made a S-rank of it. I think it's the same stats, no real difference from slicer.

And last, all S-ranks have a crazy amount of ATP,ATA,MST needed to use the wep. 800 ATP for all sword-type items, 180 (or more) for all guns, and 800 MST for all cane-type weapons. Unless you're hacked (or use pure pow,ata,mst mags) don't execpt to use any S-rank for a while. I use 2 God/arms just to use the S-rank Handgun.

Because you missed the target altogether, the special cannot miss.

Jellen might be useful in that case, hence Jellen on Sword/Partisan.

You've probably noticed that most people try to be legit here, so using PDs to boost a weapon is right out, it's hard enough to gather enough PDs to add a special to S-Ranks. Besides, boosting mechguns is incredibly useless, % only affect the weapon's ATP and mechs are very weak, so it's pointless.
Keep your PDs for adding specials to S-Ranks or buying stuff like Blue-Black Stone, etc.

S-Rank Sword is an excellent sword, way better than Red Sword, which sucks, anyway.
Zanba is good, but is quite rare.
