would any ID make megid disk hunting easier? or is that whole thing about pinkal being good at finding disks made up?
im not wholly sure most of my spells were found by a skyly as opposed to pinkal

It's not really "made up"
Pinkal was better for finding tech disks
ON DREAMCAST, but not on GC/Xbox, it's that simple.
So you can hunt Megid in any ID, odds are the same.

ID wouldn't change that, unless you still play DC. you probably play the game more so you find megid more
