i am a ranger, so i shoot everything at a distance. i tried using a saber the other day, and i got punished when i got up close to the monsters. how do you hunters cope with being succeptable to attacks when fighting? :S
Some good armour and a mag with high DFP is the way to go Wink
No monster can land a hit before i kill them Tongue

You should try getting around the back of them. after a while you will easly be able to avoid their attacks
It's because hunters can equip better melee weapons (twin sabers/swords for instance) and have more ATP/DFP. You should always keep a saber around, though, because it's usually your most powerful weapon when compared to guns of the same level. *Glanes at his Red Saber +7* Actually, I keep several melee weapons depending on what I'm doing... my Redria usually carries a Soul Eater, and just recently I put a Sinow-Beat's Blade on him (which is a Dagger, equippable by Rangers, and therefore is cool by default Tongue).

Thing about Rangers is, the high accuracy is much more pleasant. You do not want to be, say, a level-63 HUmar in Ultimate Forest. When I first got him to Ultimate at that level, he could barely hit anything. It's even worse with my FOnewm... and I shudder to think about what would happen if I brought my HUcast into Ultimate at that level... :ermm:

Lol, I took my HUmar into Ult at that level.
Hunters have better DFP, as already said. But, if your like me, you run around the enemies, J/Z them and then knock the crap outta them.
If you're using a sword, do not completely follow through with the full combo, I usually don't let the third hit. Hit + Hit --> Back away, let them attack, hit again...

Rinse and Repeat.
Hunters are actually quite simple and fun to use for me. the other characters arn't as fun because they are pampered with range or autolock long range spells Smile. Thats just my opinion
