ok, i get what your saying now, sorry i thought you ment they could actualy change the cd, not just how the memory card acts with the cd... i dont think they could stop dupeing without changeing the game code
but if u change the disk the code would still be the same cuz the code is on the card so it wudn't change the data.....
the game data is on the disc, your save file is on the card
i tot they were both on the card cuz when u save i tot the game data transfered to the card.....
no, it just makes a file for your saves to go.
Let me clarify this a bit.

The game is actually writen on the CD. The game is saved on the card. Therefore, you could not stop a glitch, like shop duping... You COULD however, stop the outright hacks into the code of the game, like the Red Ring... All you would have to do is have the program check the item, and stats data every time you go online and re-write any hacked data to what it would be without the hack, or delete the data all together in the case of the items.

It wouldn't solve everything, but it's a start.
didnt they do something like that on the dc at some point?

also hackers would probubly find a way around it, it would be worse becouse for a while people might belive that the hacks where real becouse "hacks cant come online" even though they can...
What I'm talking about is not able to be bypassed, because it could actually be updated to fix problems where people bypass it, since you have to have it to get online you can make updates and just make those mandatory to get online.

I could actually contact one of the makers of RenGuard and see if this kind of thing would be possible, then we need to get the idea to Sega Team and get them to do somthing about it.
right... but cant you make a hack so that window never comes up?
I'm not saying it HAS to be a window, that is just an example.

But no, there is no hack to do that, because that would need to change the information on the server computer. Which would require full out hacking Sega Team.
