I'm sort of in agreement with Ria about the DS - I don't like the DS, or want one.

I'm just sick of the hype over the DS which, I feel, will help to demote the Gamecube to Nintendos unwanted child. Also most Nintendo magazines never give the level of coverage to the GBA SP that they are giving to the DS, making me think that the DS will be the main pillar in future Nintendo mags.

DS - yawn/go away already. (Delete as appropriate)

Huzzah you agree! It's just a money grabber, we don't REALLY need it. I prefer the SP anyday.
It's too expensive with too few decent game to bother buying. I'll stick to my gamecube. If they do release a good game for it, I'll buy the game and use my brothers DS. But until then, It's not worth buying.
*shrug* I just have every game system. Except X-box. Have a computer in replacement for that thing.
Well i like the SP a lot too, but i think that the release of the DS will mean that theres going to be hardly any games released for the GBA in the future. And i think that there will be some really good games released for the DS soon, i mean give it a chance its not even out in the UK yet.
My roommate is the one who bought it, so I pretty much only have to buy games. But if he didn't get one I'd prolly not get one until final fantasy crystal chronicles or advance wars came out on it. (And yes I still have my SP, fun stuff.)

One would have to be insanely ignorant to make a statement like that. Taking into account that the Gamecube and the DS are completely different systems, one being a console and the other being a handheld, that just won't be possible as most people will have both anyway. That also being taken into account, the fans of the gamecube would not let that happen either.
And I am not very sure on if you know anything on future gaming coming out for the gamecube, as later this year the new Legend of Zelda is coming out, FOR THE GAMECUBE. As far as the SP is going, it's unknown as to any games coming out for it, but with two completely different systems, one being a bit more interactive with a touch screen and such, they will both be utilizing completely different games than the other. You think that the Gameboy Advance marked the ending of the Gamecube, or vice-versa? That was a really prejudiced and INSANELY ignorant statement to gaming I have ever heard, and yes, I did decide to speak against it a little late as I was at first trying to ignore it.
The DS of course deserves a chance, in all reality I wasn't really looking all that forward to the system, but it actually is a very fun system to play, and I love my gamecube just the same as well, and no less. In all reality I still play it a little more than my DS as well, and am looking forward to all of the great new games I heard were coming out in E3 for the Gamecube.

Well, that's enough for my rant.
My favorite game is defintly super mario 64. but i also like Urbz sims in the city
