has anyone been looking at all the recent MMOs coming out in the new year? I just wanted to get some expert opinions on Tabula Rasa, Middle-Earth Online, Guild Wars, and Wish. The game sites have previews etc, but I just want to see what you have to say Tongue. I'm new to the MMO world and when I get a new PC, I want to make sure I'm getting my moneys worth in these new games. I know its kinda early to tell but with some of the betas out, I kinda assume someone is playing one of them here Tongue.
have you thought about ragnarok online?
no, isn't it kinda old? some friends of mine were playing on the hacked servers etc. I considered playing it at one point but it didn't seem like my kinda game. I know the player base is big so I may look into it Tongue. Thanks ^_^
if you decide to start out im on loki server(the official iro set)... on december 20th(i think that was it) iro is geting a new server so if you start out there then evryone will be lvl1 with you.
Ragnarok online huh? That one was fun for about two months...but unfortunately got very old after a while. (R.I.P.- Lvl. 63 Rogue)

But as far as the new MMO's, I've had a my eye on Guild Wars for the past two months. Although it sounds good, I just can't picture how the game is going to work(They say levels don't matter?!). I watched the movies and they looked pretty good, and playing online for free is a plus as well. But, with a game of this nature it's gonna either be awesome from the get go or be doomed for immediate failure. I guess it all depends on the finished product.

One that also could be shaping up good is Matrix Online. It looked pretty crappy about three months ago, but since SEGA got the license, it's starting to look alot better. The gameplay looks like a faster version of City of Heroes and the whole choose your own story thing sounds fun too. The coolest thing about it is the extreme character customization and interesting way that the story will actually include players in the game. But just like Guild Wars, this is a formula that could be great, or go bad very easily.
