No, you can't. It's just that at one point in storyline with Zelos, if you do certain tasks you kill him, storyline.

i play as genis alot,with my friends they play as Lloyd and Presea with raine in back up. its a kick ass team with a unason attack
I like to use Kratos and Zelos. My second game I am playing I am making the characters all of different affinities, makine the ones that were T into S and vice versa. Genis has some pretty awesome techniques that way, like Aqua Laser and some other pretty cool stuff. Kratos is learning roughly the same things, but he does have some pretty awesome stuff as well.

Like Lloyd can learn sword rain alpha and beta and some other awesome stuff too..^^ On T.

llyod for the cool swords eg demon fang and rising falon
collete when she ahs the wings plus i like her laugh
sheena her attacks are awsome plus she is cute
and i like her hairdo
