Who or what is/was DB and why was there a sabre named after him/her/it?

DB stands for that old hunter in the ruins quest, although i read it , i don't remember his name. Something like "Donpha" with a "l" somewhere i belive.
Also there is DB's Sheild and Amour i think.

If you do the quest "The Retired Hunter" you'll notice that the man you're helping is named Donoph Baz (DB). By finishing the kireek sidequest, and telling Sue your name, you get a little more information about him. Mostly about how him and flowen and Zoke we're very alike and how they fought for different reasons and beliefs eventually making them famous hunters. (And a sidenote if you didn't already know, the girl force in forrest of sorrow is Alicia Baz, who is his daughter.)

The sad thing is that I never noticed that,lol.

I'll second that! *bows to kisanzi* I knew that Donoph was cool and all I didn't know his last name was Baz or that there was an entire set of armor, shield, and sword named after him. And I though he was stupid cuz I've killed 20 times more monsters than he ever could. :'( I'm so ashamed.

Donoph Baz, yes! Who else? I noticed Alicia has the same surname, but I didn't know she was his daughter! Should've paid more attention to the plot. Thanks very much.

Don't blame you, Gotien. How can NPCs possibly compare to human-played characters? Anyway, his sabre isn't even good.

I never noticed the Alicia - Donoph connection, but I knew the DB stood for Donoph Baz.

Is it true that when you equip DB's Saber while wearing DB's Shield\Armour DB's Saber changes shape? I got quite a few DB's Sabers but no DB's Shields DB's Armour

does the DB's set work if you use a db's sword or do you have to use the db's saber
