Hey is there an easier way to see these rare fellas and is it true that al and pal rappy always leaves a rare item

If you want a higher chance of seeing a rare enemy you can try the pipe trick. For example, if you want to see a pal rappy then do the "Fake in Yellow" quest, find the room with the most rappies and then drop a telepipe and go in it. When you go back down the telepipe it will randomly respawn the enemies, giving you another chance to get a pal rappy. Do this as many times as you need to find one. This trick also works with love rappies, red slimes, hildetors and nar/mil lilies. Although it does require alot of patience seeing that a rare enemy spawn is around a ratio of 1/360. But if you're patient you'll get one eventually.

And to answer your other question, pal rappies do NOT always drop rare items. Like all other rare enemies the drop ratio is higher, most of the time you have a 50% chance for a rare drop. But it's like a coin toss, you do have the chance of calling it wrong 3 or 4 times in a row resulting in no rare drop.

I belive it's 1/500 chance nto 360

you also won't see the rare enemy after the 500th one garunteed. i've found love rappies after piping 12 rappies and nar lillies after piping about 700 lilles

in hard and very hard, all rare enemies have a 7/8 chance of a rare drop. in ultimate some have it as low as 1/205 (for psycho wand and heaven's punisher)

edit: whoops, i thought that 87.5% was 11/12, it's 7/8, but that still doesn't mean you'll get it that often. i had to pipe 6 love rappies before to get 3 God/lucks with the 87.5% chance a while ago

Wait, some enemies have an 87.5% of having a rare drop, no 1/11 or 1/12?

Yes this is pretty old. Though good for pointing it out sometimes to get the ol brain ticking again lol. *sigh* I have exams tomorrow!!
