All matches would be 1v1. Having a 4P 2v2 match is dodgy because the battle rules dont let you customise who's on what team.
Team games, such as the Battle League is doubles where you decide who plays each fixtured match, not both of the team playing at the sametime. It wouldnt work for the Knockout Tournament like that because one who plays the 1st match, and loses, means the other team member doesnt play any matches whatsoever!
Aaah rats Lee! I think I would of preferd to keep trying in to get the right team in doubles.

If there was a way to make teams doubles, i would more then happily suggest a Doubles tournament. Blame SEGA! lol

OK, maybe it is possible.
After doing a little bit of research (Offline anyways), it seems that 1 Player & 3 Player will always pair up with 2 Player and 4 Player in a 4 Player Battle. That'll easily work! But im not sure if it works online at the moment. If 3 people interested would like to meet up tonight just to try it out, or another night, please let me know when your free ^_^

Well either way I'm not very experienced in battle mode, my friends weren't very into it offline. I'll probably just be eliminated in the first round anyways, so either one is ok.

1P&3P Are team 1 and 2p&4p are team 2 you dont get random teams!
thats right even online, just make sure you join the game at the right time and it should be good
Hahahah! masterofchaos is correct. Had I indeed been randomly paired with HER, I sould have Smited her, before the opponents.....
