There will be server maintenance on the Nintendo Gamecube Phantasy Star Online servers during February 8th 2005 between the times of 14:00 & 17:00 (Japanese Time).

During this time please do not attempt to connect to the servers as if maintenance is happening on your corresponding servers at that time then you will be automatically disconnected after connecting. If you happen to be playing during these times please disconnect otherwise at the time when maintenance starts you will be disconnected from your game no matter what! You are given 10 minutes warning via. constant on-screen messages counting down until the time the upgrades start. This affects all players of the following Nintendo Gamecube games:

• Phantasy Star Online, Episodes I & II
  
• Phantasy Star Online, Episodes I & II Plus
  
• Phantasy Star Online, Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution

Please reconnect after these times where service continues as normal. Coming your way are 3 new updates!

The biggest update is the brand new quest, following the recent addition of 'Maximum Attack 1, Version 2' comes 'Maximum Attack 2, Version 2'!


Until recently, the Maximum Attack quests were just simulations born in the VR field, however, this battle is far more realistic as you beam down to Ragol's Seabed from Episode II in Version 2 of this popular quest! Prepare yourselves for fierce battles...


It doesnt end there though, as you also move onto the Control Tower where you encounter an surprising ambush. You're against the clock though, so move on from Floor 1 as fast as possible! What else you encounter upon this quest remains to be seen, so by order of the Govenor-General, its over to you! This quest is playable for 1 - 4 Human Players and can be found in the Hunters Guild under the VR menu.

Also added to the servers for play is yet another quest, strangely titled 'If you Laugh at the Seashore' (Rough JP Translation)!


Im not entirely sure what this quest is about, but it seems like it could be very similiar to the 'Resting at the Beach' quests normally found at the end of summertime on PSO, adapted for Valentines Day, activating special displays by typing certain keywords. For Example, by typing 'Hearts', a special display will show up on the beach. This is just assumption though, no doubt im wrong, in which case what you've read was just pointless! lol

What we do know about the quest though is that its playable for 1 Human Player only.

Last but not least, being added is of course Valentines Day stuff. When i say stuff i of course means lobby decorations and a special quest!


The quest is the same as last year, where you enter Pioneer 2 for the simple reason of making sweet sweet chocolate to pass onto your loved one! No monster slaying and absolutely no EXP is available at the time of year when you all come together and... well you know :p

The Valentines Quest is playable for 1 Femal Character Only im afraid, no chocolate monsters allowed! The lobby decorations and quest will be available until 8th March '05.

Ok has anyone figured out this new quest yet? I got as far as getting the phrases the head rappy wants and he gets inspired. He rattles off a few lines and gets stumped....and so do I.

Just been online for a short while to check out all the valentines stuff! Heres a few snappies i took along the way (Attached) ^_^

1 & 2: Various Valentines Snaps (Ep.III/Ep. I & II Resp.)
3: Because you can never have too much Chocolate

Also i had a peek in at the 'Laughing at the Beach' quest (Titled 'Beach Laughter' here, although theres not much to laugh about atm!).

To inspire the Rappy, Convey the following words to him:

• On The Hill
• Though My Body Is
• I Feel Envious
• But

He'll then spark to life saying "I'm Inspired!" Then come up with a few more lines of his own:

• A Variety of People
• All Sorts of Colors

I expect this is a sign to what has to be done to get further in the quest, but to what i have no idea! It could mean that 4 people have 2 be in the quest at the sametime, all with different IDs, but its just an idea!

I also found the Casino Machine! ^_^ However, this joy lasted under 5 seconds when it told me i need 10 Lucky Tickets to play -_-

Lucky Tickets are either something you collect further on in the quest when you get into it, or related to the 'Maximum Attack' quests. Ill find out later when i use my main character! lol

how to complete 'Laughing at the Beach':

you first need to get master in every maximum attack quest
then you've got to collect 22 haerts (12 classes, 10 IDs)

when you have colltected all, start the 'Laughing at the Beach' quest.
talk to the lone rappy:
On The Hill
Though My Body Is
I Feel Envious
But

after that (when u have all 22 haerts) he will give you a black ring and 5 photon spheres

Wow, thats amazing, seems like a lot of work though to complete all the Maximum Attack quests. Also how do you mean the hearts? Ive never seen any hearts... Or are they what you recieve after getting the amount of points needed in Maximum Attack?

you need to get 10000 points in maximum attack 1 and 2
then u will recieve a "Master" title like, Master of HUmar (in MA1) and Master of Skyly (in MA2)

after that you've got to redo the quest together with other masters to get their "haerts", in MA1 you've got to collect 12 haerts (HUmar, HUnewearl, HUcast, HUcaseal, RAmar, RAmarl, RAcast, RAcaseal, FOmar, FOmarl, FOnewman, FOnewearl)
in MA2 10 haerts (Greenill, Viridia, Skyly, Bluefull, Redria, Purplenum, Oran, Withill, Yelloboze, Pinkal)

the rest wouldn't make problemes (spelled this right?? ^^)

I completed this quest in a week, it's not impossible

Blimey! All of that work! Id have to make a load of characters and then complete MA 1 AND 2 with them all, and you did it within a WEEK?!?! *faints*
