me and my friend where in the east control tower and my friend had 103 edk. and those stupid mericol thing kept on hitting him with there megid type thing. and i thought that couldnt hit you if you had over 100 edk.
you dodge it by doing one thing........ run, run as far as you can and don't stop running untill you reach the other side of ragol (then you'd be running back again, because the planet is round).
that move isn't megid (EDK won't help). it's just death, WHABAM dead! no living! best way around it is too get a rifle or high level techs and blast it while you're far away.
supposedly you are able to live through it because mericarol's attack does confusion, merikle's attack does freeze (good as dead), and mericus's attack does shock. it probably does some sort of outrageously high set hp damage, but i've never lived through it.
Yeah, it cannot be aoided, but it's not that hard to dodge.
This is why Episode II is only for very tolerant people, who will prevail after a thousand insta-deaths.
Or learn to dodge them. That doesn't sound good though... I mean, I don't have problems in VHard tower because I typically equip either a Cure/Freeze, Cure/Shock, or both. Guess this must be why people hate Ultimate tower so much...
This is actually why people hate Episode II in general, beautiful levels with more details then Episode I. It's just so scattered and difficult.
I would love episode II so much more if the forst two levels were different and there is no instant damn kill move!!!!!!!!! GGRRR!!!

ive got hit by those damn plants plenty of times on ultimate playing the east tower too and i didnt die or get more than half of my HP depleted. im on lvel 92 with My HUmar IVAN and im legit because hacking would take the fun out of PSO
did they swing their arms at you or shoot the red/blue/green balls? and if they shot the balls, how much hp did you have?
