Just wondering what everyone here thought was the best RPG franchise they ever played. Please note that I am only listing franchises for this poll, meaning RPG's that have at least one sequel. If you have a favorite that I didn't list then feel free to post about them. My personal favorite is the Grandia series. The characters always have very detailed and appealing personalities and the battle system is the best I've ever seen. Ryudo is the MAN!

PSO is the most fun. FF is okay...but turn-based, and you CANNOT CREATE YOUR OWN CHARACTERS!
for money making it obviously would have to be ff, it attracts sales and even versions that really suck sell well cause its a final fantasy game and its by squaresoft

Bethesda Softworks, Morrowind is definitely the best rpg I've played. Also, I liked TOS (Namco) and a few others.

I plyed Morrowind a good bit, it got boring after awhile, i like the Final Fantasy series the best probably
