In a past issue of PC Gamer (in Europe) there was a program one the DVD, which came with it, which installed a trial version of PSO on to your PC. It wasn't much, just Forest 1, Forest 2 and the Dragon. You play as a HUmar called HUmar (someone had a great imagination...).

I know this will sound dumb, but can anyone here provide any info as to which issue it was? Anything will do, like if you have a copy you don't want anymore, or you know where the PSO Trial can be downloaded from the net.

Please post any info here or PM me.

All information will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance! Tongue

PS: Don't tell me to try eBay as I already have tried and failed. :'(
You mean this, the Version2 demo?

You can actually play as all 9 classes. Online doesn't work. Why play Version2 when you can play Ep1&2?
Cool i can play PSO at work now Yay
Wow, it must have been a while ago now!

I very much doubt youll find a copy of the DVD. Good luck to you on your expedition lol
Id just recommend waiting for Blue Burst if you really wish to play PSO properly.
Thanks Mirinee! You've just won yourself an all-expences paid trip to my Buddy List! Big Grin

Seriously, I really appreciated your help. I'm currently downloading it as I type. Are there any nasty surprises and things I need to know about before installing / playing it?

Because my GameCube's busted :'( The motor which drives the disc plate has gone nuts so it's gone off to be repaired. Won't get it back for a few weeks :'(

Anyway, thanks for your help Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

I do too. Seeing as this PSO Trial dates back to 2003, I'd reckon that the DVD is long gone. :| Besides, I have this download now Big Grin so we can forget about the DVD

I can't wait any longer! Come on, SEGA & Sonic Team, hurry up and release Blue Burst and Episode IV in America so I can import it! Tongue
Heh, I've just installed PSO V2 on my PC. I picked up a copy of the game off an import site and proved SEGA wrong about the game not running on laptops ^^

I'm tinkering around with running my own PSO server, but with the restrictions on my broadband service I can't get incoming connections to connect to the server. Basically at a hobby standpoint until the cable provider here can be bought out by someone who actually knows WTF they're doing.
Was PSOPC Ver2 ever released in English-speaking countries? :S It seems to be exactly the same as DC Ver2.
In the demo, the online doesn't work, does it? Are the official servers still up in Europe? I know they're not in the US.
