ok back on topic

Im wonderin y i cant get into the ruins, i hit all 3 pillars, killed all 3 bosses after i hit them, and when i went down into the warp after killing vol opt, i hit ricos messages, and walked over to the thing where the door wouldve been but it was open. so i decided to use the pioneer 2 portal, go talk to principal, and quit and save.

well i just started again, for the next time, and the ruins wasnt on the list, the pillars were hit, the door was open, so i talked to principal and saved,

or did i have to walk down the hall into the black?

ok i beat vol opt, now im in ruins, if i quit after i enter it, can i go in thru the pipe from the city next time? or would i kill vol opt again?
